Why bidding instead of calling around
Calling shops for quotes takes an afternoon and every quote is on the shop's terms. When installers compete for your job, you see several prices at once, alongside each installer's rating and how soon they can do it.
When you pay
Accepting a bid places a hold on your card. The charge goes through only when the installer marks the job done and you confirm — or automatically 24 hours later if you don't respond. If something is wrong, report a problem and the automatic charge stops while we sort it out.

How does the bidding work?
It is a reverse auction: instead of calling shops for quotes, you post the job once and installers send you their price and the earliest time they can do it. You choose; nobody is booked until you accept a bid.
Does it cost anything to post a job?
No. Posting a job and receiving bids is free. You pay the installer's bid for the work you book.
When is my card charged?
When you accept a bid your card is authorised — a hold, not a charge. It is charged only after the installer finishes and you confirm the work, or automatically 24 hours after they mark it done if you do nothing. If something is wrong, report a problem instead and the automatic charge stops.
Can the installer come to me?
Yes. Choose mobile service when you post and the installer comes to your home or work. You can follow them on a map while they drive over, and you get a notification when they are a few minutes away.
Are the installers vetted?
Installers upload their business license and proof of insurance, which the AutoGlass AI team reviews before they can bid. After each job, customers rate the installer, and ratings are shown on every bid.
